We had a relaxed, carefree holiday knowing that Nathalie and Hans-Peter were looking after our pets and our home. They were so responsive and shared so many lovely videos, so we knew the dog and cat were happy and healthy. Our home was tidy and neat, the lawn mowed and we had a cooked meal ready when we got back. Honestly we cannot recommend them highly enough.

✨ Paws and Relax: A Purr-fect House Sit with Jess the Dog and Basil the Cat ✨

Our time in Resignano Montferrato was nothing short of "paw-some" thanks to Jess, the gentle canine queen, and Basil, the mischievously dignified cat. These two furballs stole our 💕.

Michelle and Daniele’s lovely home, nestled in the Piedmont hills, offered the best of both worlds: tranquility and convenience. Just a short drive from Casale, we had easy access to cafés, restaurants, and shops, but honestly, between Jess’s soulful eyes and Basil’s regal presence, we were tempted to cancel all outings. The house itself was spotless, with a dreamy sunroom for lazy afternoons and a garden made for sunset gazing.

Though we missed meeting Michelle and Daniele before their trip, their friend gave us the warmest welcome, along with a crash course in "The Art of Spoiling Jess & Basil." Luckily, their instructions were simple: keep the cuddles coming, the walks scenic, and the affection abundant. Mission accomplished.

Jess is the epitome of a "good girl", zero mischief, just velvety ears and a talent for napping in sunbeams. She shadowed us everywhere (we'd like to think it was love!). Her twice-daily walks through the countryside were a highlight—though we took it easy on her arthritic hips.

Basil, on the other hand, is a feline of mystery. One moment, he’s aloof, gazing out the door like a tiny philosopher. The next? He’s flopping over for impromptu chin scratches. His evening garden patrols (supervised by Jess and us, of course) were a delight—half adventure, half excuse to roll in the grass.

Michelle and Daniele were fantastic communicators, always just a message away if we had questions. If you’re looking for a slice of Italian countryside life with two four-legged comedians, this sit is "fur" you. Just be warned: saying goodbye to Jess’s wagging tail and Basil’s judgmental blinks is harder than pronouncing "Monferrato" after a glass of delicious local wine!
