Natalie and Hanspeter are fantastic housesitters and we would not hesitate to use them again if they are available.

We have a "smart house" whichsometimes has little glitches. Hanspeter and Nathalie sorted these out very quickly. Our cats were very well looked after and bonded with Hanspeter and Nathalie. Even Mia, my aloof cat, was seduced by Hanspeter and would curl in his lap. HP and Nathalie sent us regular updates along with photos which we loved receiving. We felt very relaxed leaving them in charge.

Before we arrived home Natlaie asked us what we would like to be in the fridge when we got back. I said butter and milk but when we arrived home there were also other goodies in the fridge that they had got for us.

We spent a couple of days with Hanspeter and Nathalie before we left so we could show them how the "smart house" worked. We were also able to get to know them a little and found them to be intelligent and very interesting people.

We were so happy with them, that we have invited them to stay with us (as friends) if they ever want to revisit the Alagrve.

We just finished our first 2 weeks "house and cat sitting" for Annabelle and Phaon, Soonie, Miaxu and Mia are very sweet, super easy to look after and of course each one with its own personality! They are not so called "lap cats", but they are very affectionate and demonstrative on their way and will often wrap around your legs and ask for cuddles.

Annabelle and Phaon are lovely, interesting and very generous hosts. They provided us with clear instructions and everything we would need to look after the cats and the house. We really appreciated that they were always available to answer our questions. The Quinta Escondida is a beautiful "smart home", full of light, spacious, comfortable, with a nice garden and pool, It was a little challenge to understand the "new world of smart home technology", but it was a very exciting and instructive one.

A car is essential to go shopping and sightseeing, you wouldn't be able to take full advantage of your free time to discover the magnificent region of the Algarvewithout one.

As it was the second time we were sitting for Annabelle and Phaon, we knew the house, the cats and their habits, the surroundings. Again, the pets were super easy to take care of and we grew even more fond of them.

We enjoyed the garden, the several outdoor seating areas and ate our meals outside every day. The nice pool and the light wind coming up in the afternoon. made our stay very pleasant despite the great heat.

No doubt, we would gladly recommend this sit to others and hope the opportunity arises that we can come back. We definitely felt at home and it was more a kind of "holiday" than a regular sit...
